A Sustainability-focused Initiative by Nestlé Professional Italy
The Nestlé Professional team in Italy is collaborating with local hotels to make changes that consider the Italian environment, by introducing sustainability-focused projects. This initiative reflects their commitment to fostering a better future through both small and large gestures.
The PiantiAmo il Futuro Project
At the heart of the teams’ efforts is the 'PiantiAmo il futuro: A Tree for Every Coffee Machine That is Reborn' project, which was launched in 2023. This initiative aims to create a network of collaborations with hotels, encouraging them to actively participate in changing habits. Nescafé will donate and plant a tree for each refurbished coffee machine that hotels choose to install instead of a new one.
The Objective: 500 Trees in 3 Years
The goal of the Italian team is to plant 500 trees over three years. The project started in 2023, and the team planted one hundred trees in the Balossa area within Parco Nord Milano in Milan. In 2024, they continued their efforts by donating two hundred trees and plants for green areas in the city of Ferrara. The contributions of Best Western Hotels Italia & Malta and other independent hotels affiliated with Si Supply, the Best Western Hotels Group's Central Purchasing Office made this initiative possible.
Transforming Urban Spaces
The team is committed to urban regeneration, working alongside local Italian administrations to implement concrete projects that enhance areas undergoing transformation.
