1 3/4 qt 7 cups Water
8 oz 3/4cup Minor's® Brown Sauce Prep with Beef (Espagnole) 12x1 lb.
8 oz 1 cup Red wine burgundy
1.5 oz 3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
1 tsp Minor's® Beef Au Jus Concentrate (No Added MSG) 6x1 lb.
1 oz 2 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp 3 tsp Tomato paste
1 tsp Black pepper, coarse ground

Preparation Steps

  1. In a 4 qt. sauce pot over medium high heat, combine water and Brown Sauce Prep until dissolved, using a wire whip. Heat to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  2. In a bowl, combine wine, vinegar, Beef Au Jus Concentrate, honey, tomato paste and pepper until well blended. Add mixture to brown sauce. Heat to a gentle boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Chef's tip

Serve with beef, chicken or pork, or use as a base sauce to create other variations.
