Add base to boiling water and stir, or blend base directly into your sauce and bring to a boil. To enhance your favorite recipes blend in base to reach desired flavor level. For a smoky bacon flavor add base according to the following equivalents:
3/4 tsp. Base equals 1 slice bacon
1 Tbsp Base equals 4 oz. bacon
1/4 cup (3 oz.) Base equals 1 lb. bacon
1 lb (one container) Base is equal in flavor to 5 lbs. 5 oz. of bacon
To flavor canned vegetables, add 4-5 Tbsp of Base for each #10 can of vegetables.
One (16 oz.) container of base seasons 6 #10 cans of vegetables.
Serves as a southern style seasoning for vegetable favorites such as green beans, spinach, turnips, collard greens, hominy and hash brown potatoes.
