  • Soak your dishes instead of running water over them.
  • Fix that dripping tap – it could waste as much as 90 litres per week.
  • Cool water kept in the fridge means you won't have to run the tap to get a cold drink.
  • Fit a water saving device in your cistern and save up to three litres per flush.
  • Fill your kettle with only the water you will use – not to the brim. You'll save water and reduce your energy bills too. (Ensure you always cover the element).
  • Turn the tap off for the two minutes when you’re brushing your teeth.
  • Install a water butt to collect rainwater for use on garden and house plants.
  • Use the water that you use to wash your fruit and vegetables to water your plants.
  • Only use your dishwasher or washing machine when it is fully loaded.
