Increasing efficiency

• Nestlé has introduced new double-decker trailers for some routes to carry more pallets per load. This enables products to be double-stacked and reduces journeys.
• Wherever possible, Nestlé reverse engineers its packaging. This means that the dimensions of the pack are calculated to optimise the number of packs per case and the number of cases per pallet. As a result, Nestlé can maximise the number of pallets transported and reduce the total number of trips.
