"Creating Shared Value", a global overview

"Creating Shared Value" is Nestlé's fundamental business strategy. It states that in order to create value for shareholders over the long term, Nestlé must create value for the societies where they operate. For Nestlé, sustainability – “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” – is a given. With "Creating Shared Value", Nestlé goes beyond sustainability, to create value for shareholders and society – which is integrally linked to core business strategies and operations – from the farmers from whom raw materials are sourced, through employees, to customers and the consumers served.
